My son is finally a year old, which is a huge milestone for bed time! We kept Lucas’ crib free of any bedding/extras for the entire first year. After he turned one we got the go-ahead from the pediatrician to give him a blanket. (In all reality, he moves around enough in his crib that it’s rarely on him anyway.)

I really wanted to find something that was breathable since he still smashes his face up against his bedding. I love Aden+Anais, and their muslin products, and Lucas got the Liam the Brave set for his birthday. It’s a full bed in a bag, with a crib sheet attached to a thin muslin sheet, a thicker comforter, and a pillow. All were great quality.

The bed in a bad can be found on Amazon for between $70-$80. A little pricey, but because they 91bNuj6827L._SX522_have such a good reputation, I thought it was worth it to have some safe, quality bedding. It has washed very well, with no fraying.

The pillow is exceptionally thinner than it appears in the photo (so thin, that I actually thought it was part of a sheet at first.) Again, my LO doesn’t keep his head on it right now anyway… and it’s breathable, so I don’t have to worry about him bunching it up. It’s a good introductory pillow, but he’ll eventually need one a little thicker, I’m sure.

I highly recommend Aden+Anais for your toddler’s first bedding set!
